The Curacao Challenge event is held at one of the most beautiful and popular beaches of Curacao, the Sea Aquarium Beach.

For the participants, the open ocean in front of the beach is a true challenge, because of its wide open deep blue rough waters, and the steady side shore trade winds the island of Curacao is famous for.

Especially in the month of April (also called “Kwarisma” or “windy season”, by the locals), the trade winds are usually at their strongest, the best time for a windsurfing event!

During, before and after the races on the water, several activities will be held on the beach. There will be music, food and beverages and many types of beach games. Races for beginners and the youngest windsurfers will be held right in front of the beach within the breakwaters.

Family and friends of the participants can relax on one of the many lounge chairs on the beach under palm tree umbrellas, kids can play in the sand/ surf and or join one of the activities especially organized for them. You can board of one of the boat trips organized by the Curacao Challenge that will take you, for a very small fee, very close to the actual open ocean race, a perfect picture opportunity.

The Sea Aquarium Beach has many bars and restaurants located on the beach where everyone can sip on the best cocktails on the island or enjoy a nice tropical lunch. There is always something happening, day or night. In the evenings you can either go for dinner in one of the many romantic  restaurants located on the beach or dance the night away during one of the many party’s held  on a daily bases.

For all the Curacao Challenge participants, food and beverages will be provided during the day for each day of the event.

Party packs will be made available for non-participants, making it easier for family and friends to join in the fun.

The Curacao Challenge has something for every Windsurfer, it’s a challenge and a fun event for the single adventurist, but also offers loads of safe fun in the sun for the windsurfer that is just looking for a good time or a great holiday with their family and friends.
