Freestyle photoshoot to get things started
Apr 1st, 2010 | By marketingcuracao | Category: Photo sessions
The special Curacao Challenge 2010 lycras were still steaming warm from the press, but there were immediately some freestylers who were in the mood to show them in action.
Three of the most talented junior freestylers jumped in the Spanish Water. This is also the location where the freestyle competition will be held next monday and tuesday.
World champ under 15 Joep Schmit (Bonaire)
World champ under 12 Steven Max (Aruba)
Curacao upcoming talent Felix Martina
We got a nice taste of what to expect.

Excellent! looking forward to the event reports!
The bouyee anchors have been dropped by the race course team. The marks should be well into the wind…so even with a light breeze we should be okay for some nice heats!
Be sure to join u for the opening tonight at Wet & Wild Beach Club at 8pm !!
Day 2 was a tough one. The race committee had some tough decision to make which meant that some racer would be disappointed… That is part of an event that cannot be factored out…
All with all, after about 10 protest hearings we were back on track. Hopefully those racers that lost their spot due to the loss of protest will understand and learn from the experience. It is very valuable to know the rules in the event you happened to go enter an IFCA sanctioned event in the near future.
In any case from our part (the organization) we can say that today was an exciting learning experience with room for improvement. We look forward to the next three great days of the event!!!
@ race director Well said.but fortunately the race was still great with some very good surfers with serious skills finishing despite of everything
